Plus, although Cape Town is worth visiting throughout the year as it stays between the Indian and Atlantic Oceans and enjoys mild winters and pleasant summers – the actual Summer period starts from December to February, when the temperature range from around 15 to 27 degrees Celsius (60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit). While in the ‘western peak season’ that starts in July, Cape Town experiences its winters i.e. from the of June to August with average temperatures ranging between 7 to 20 degrees Celsius (45 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit).

Hence, not only post-peak season gets you cheap flights but also a hot long summer in Cape Town.
