Hundreds of Flights Cancelled at Heathrow Due to Heavy Snow

On 05th February, 2012 due to heavy snow fall and freezing weather conditions, authorities of London Heathrow airport have cancelled one third of its flights which consist of many renown airlines. The weather conditions might not be good for departures in the coming week as well. It is recommended that passengers should be aware of future disruption because of weather conditions. Passengers can also make date changes or make alternative arrangements as they should be aware in advance.
Those passengers who miss their flights due to this event can apply for refunds or have a word with their travel agents and the airline customer care representatives in order make date changes, cancellations and refunds. Other airports in United Kingdom also got affected by the adverse weather conditions.
So therefore, if you are travelling today or over next couple of days it is recommended to check your flight status by visiting carrier’s website before going to the airport. Also aloe extra times for your journey because of railway and road networks are also affected. Recently it was also reported that up to 100 motor vehicles got stuck on M40 for four hours. Authorities have also prepared salt for the roads in order to come over from the snow.
