Good news, if you have plans to travel to Cote d’Ivoire this summer than pack up your bags cause Kenya Airways is back in the air again!

The speedily progressing airline of African Continent that is often referred to as, the “pride of Africa”, Kenya Airways (KQ) has opened its offices in Abidjan last week.

The long time suspension of this ‘much-required’ route lasted for five months. The airline shut down its route due to the unstable political conditions and social crises in Cote d’Ivoire (or Ivory Coast). The West African nation faced a major drop down in International arrivals following a string of post election violence incidents that prompted immediate evacuation of foreign travelers.

Kenya airways offer cheap flights to Abidjan from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) via its hub, Nairobi Kenya. The stopover in Kenya is of a short duration. The carrier operates thrice a week flights to Ivory Coast. The first Kenya Airways flight to Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire took off during first week of May.
