Rediscovering Australia from Sydney to Tasmania

Australia always fascinated me. The vast country, its varying climates, the diversity, the terrains, the animals, the landscapes and its massive size…all about it is unique and interesting! However, to discover a massive land like this, you do not need days but months or over a year. For once in a year travelers, like my self, it can even cost a life time to discover and unfold the mystifying attractions of this giant continent.

One big question to begin with, is getting cheap flights to Australia. As the country being a far off land for Europeans, costs a fortune on flight tickets. However, a little search and browse can save one a few hundreds pounds. The cheap ticket providers are usually available on the internet, with a variety of airlines and routings for Australia flights. LINK

Most airlines offer, whether direct or indirect cheap flights to and from Australia‘s most popular city Sydney. It is a bright beginning of a trip as the city is Australia’s post card. It is the identifications of the modern architecture and a cosmopolitan, pedestrian friendly country. One can hardly miss to see the Sydney Opera house and the famous Sydney Harbor there. Also Sydney is only 500 km away form Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves. The best way to discover those will be to hire a car or drive your self as the drive itself brigs along a lot of surprising and interesting locations to see.

For food and shopping Sydney’s Chinatown is a must stop. Also, during Australian summers (Nov-March) an evening at Bondi, Manly or Coogee beaches, gives an entire new meaning to magical sunsets.

If you are staying for a bit longer, fly from Sydney to Brisbane, the capital of Queensland located in the north. Brisbane river is only a representation of the cool and calm city that leads to world renowned attractions including the Gold Coast Queensland surfing zones and the Sunshine Coast. Further to the North, Great Barrier Reef welcomes one of the purest experiences of scuba diving.

The next stop, capital of Victoria, Melbourne a quieter city identified through its aquarium, belle époque buildings and old trams that run through out the state and connect its top attractions. Driving further away from the trams of Melbourne city, the site of Twelve Apostles rock formations at the great ocean road is far more beautiful than words can express. It is an out of the world picturesque site.

From Melbourne to Perth, and Perth to Adelaide greenery, vibrancy and relaxed atmosphere continues to Darwin, a city known for the Ayers Rock neighboring Alice Springs the centre of the great Outback. Outback is largely unoccupied and un-inhabitant land. Camping at camp sites fills you up with all the knowledge of desert, hunting and making best use of your abilities.

An exact reversal of Outback is Tasmania. National parks, Port Arthur and .Wineglass Bay are the prominent attractions of Tasmania. The waterfalls and springs in Tasmania contribute to the most sparkling memories of Australia that you can take back home.

For last minute flights to Australia often Sydney has the cheapest flights from London Heathrow or Gatwick. However the capital of Australia “Canberra” also located in New South Wales makes a second choice.
