Lufthansa announced all existing bookings have to be issued before 30^th Jun 2011 at least due to their changes in booking classes, any bookings not ticketed before 30^th Jun 2011 may have to be rebooked according to new classes. Note: It will affect all pending bookings if not ticketed before deadline. Lufthansa launches combination of new booking classes, additional booking classes exclusively added for long-haul flights. In addition to this, new fares will be applicable for bookings issued after 1^st Jul 2011 for this reason Lufthansa recommends issue tickets before deadline.

New booking class structure means new fares can be offered for long haul flights.

Long-haul:

Economy:

-          by the use of the new booking class system new additional fare levels are launched and therefore smaller up-sell steps can be offered.

-          in the higher-value Economy classes, conditions will change – minimum stay and ADVP will be reduced.

-          for most traffic areas the number of seasonal terms will be reduced from 3 to 2. 

First and Business:

-          fare levels will be adjusted.

-          booking class allocation and conditions remain unchanged.
