Alice Springs – The Red Hot Australia

Alice-Springs---The-Red-Hot-Australia

Alice Springs, is like a budding red rose in the heart of Australian Outback. The wide and open, far and wide, wilderness – which is the only one of its kind. If the name makes you wonder that the place is named after some stunning gorgeous, "Alice" putting her little feet on ground like springs of water….well you are mistaken. Because "Alice Springs" the name is a tribute to Miss Alice Todd, who came to this almost "un inhabited" part of Australia along with her Husband in 1865, to set up the first Telegraph line. A water hole was found at the site of first telegraph repeater station. Later, when the station moved to a neighboring town in a few years, they started calling the town "Alice Springs". This telegraph line was the first in the region. Even today, it’s a common practice among tourists to visit "Telegraph Tower" – the unique historic attraction of Alice Spring, Australia.

The other most prominent attractions in this region are; the glorious "red rock-formations", "red-sand desert area" and the small town called "Red Centre".

Although Alice Spring is one of the most toured attractions in Australia however, the originality and flavor of true Australian Culture is still evident and unaltered. There are plenty of unspoilt and picturesque attractions all over and around the town. The favorite one after the "Telegraph Tower (station)" is "Botanical Gardens" of Alice Springs.

The "Spencer and Gillen museum" is also located nearby and a good utilization of cool mornings in Alice Spring. Whereas, to spend your lazy, late afternoon hours walking under the shade of gigantic trees, sipping cup of tea at the small café or picturing the natural beauty wide spread are the kind of inviting activities you can indulge in the Botanical Gardens. A more challenging and rewarding expedition can be carried out if you head to exploring the Outback. Outback is famous for amazing and varying landscapes. The mosaic of colors at its clear wide skyline, long drives and camel farms are a fun and adventure for the whole family.
