The largest low cost airline in U.S – Southwest

Flights to Mexico are getting better each passing day. There are many airlines that provide excellent flight services to the country from throughout the world destinations. Among them the top three low cost and America’s favorite airlines are Continental Airline, Delta Airline and Southwest airline. Delta Air is immensely popular when it comes to book flights to or from African continent, while Continental’s new iPhone, iPod App has created a buzz. The third one under discussion, Southwest airline is famed for being the cheapest flight provider in the US.

Southwest Airline is the largest low cost American Airline. Not only is that but the largest low cost carrier of the whole wide world as well. The airline is part of Southwest Airlines Co. and head quartered on the grounds of Dallas Love Field in Dallas, Texas. Other outstanding achievements by the airline include its popularity for being the largest airline in the world by number of passengers carried per year (as of 2009). It maintains the third-largest passenger fleet of aircraft among all of the world’s commercial airlines and operates more than 3,200 flights daily, as of December 2009.

South West Airline’s presence in Mexico is of vital significance. The airline has announced to offer daily flights to five Mexican destinations starting from December 1st. Travelers can start reserving their seats on these amazingly low flight fares with South West airline starting from November 12th, 2010. The sooner the better, as seat sale with Southwest is like ‘hot cakes’ within minutes there is nothing left on the shelf and all sold out.

These flights to Mexico with Southwest airline are to be operated through a partnership with Volaris which is the country’s second-largest airline. Volaris is also a popular budget airline, especially for flights within Mexico but more recently from some U.S. airports as the airline has grown. Further, in this partnership Southwest airline connection will allow flights to be reserved through Southwest’s own system, which will automatically make two separate bookings, one in each airline’s system i.e. flights from the origin to connecting point with Southwest and from connecting point to destination with Volaris. .

The first phase of the service will offer flights to five Mexican cities through Southwest’s Los Angeles, Oakland and San Jose hubs. Other schedules to be added in this network include flights to Las Vegas and Reno/Tahoe scheduled to be added in phase two, while San Francisco, Ontario, Orange County and Burbank will wait for phase three.

Southwest and Volaris offer great opportunity for travelers to enjoy a carefree journey.
